Rotherwas MRF - 01/03/2003

The Rotherwas MRF near Hewreford has just been finished and is going through it's final testing. The installation was designed and built for Mercia Waste is performing as expected and to contract specification.

The system is a twin line MRF with one line for the containers and the other line for the paper, card and textiles. The design capacity is approx. 7,500 tons per year. The five T40 Horizontal Bale Presses and utilised for the compaction of the plastic bottles and the film, The two UBC Baling Machines are utilised for the compaction of the steel and Aluminium Cans.
