BRT Bag Opener - 01/01/2005

After installation of a BRT bag opener into our existing MRF system at the Hill and Moor site, the throughput of the system has nearly doubled. The existing MRF is a twin line system with one line suitable for the separation of containers including plastic bottles, mixed cans and plastic bags, The material previously was presented in bags and require three operators to open and remove the plastic film. Now the opening of the bags is done automatically and requirement to remove the bag can be achieved with one operative. The main MRF system has been installed for approx. 3 years and the BRT bag opener for approx. 6 months.
