MRF System - 01/03/2004

Newly installed MRF system incorporates the latest technology to reduce labour and increase production. The system is designed to handle a maximum throughput of 20 tons per hour (90,000 T/year) of co-mingles dry recyclables. The system initially removed the paper materials from the containers by means of a newly developed V-Screen separator and then through a series of automatic optical sorters and manual post sort position. The final material is either bulked (news and mixed paper) or baled into mill size bales (Film, Card, Plastic bottles, Ferrous cans and Aluminium cans).
