Powys MRF - 01/10/2002

Newly installed Material Reclamation Facility for Powys County Council was finished within contract time and is performing to given requirements. The system is made up of a twin line MRF with one line for containers (cans and plastic bottles) and the other line for dry recyclable materials (Paper, Card and Textiles). The material is initially fed onto a Metering conveyor which controls the flow of material into the sorting hall. The material once entered the sorting hall is sorted into the different recyclable material. The paper, textiles and card is bulked ready to ship to recycling companies and the bottles and cans are Baled then stored ready for on processing. The Bottles and pierced and then baled in a Horizontal Bale press.
